Transportation / Bus schedule

Efficient and reliable transportation is a key aspect of the European Transplant Sports Championships 2024. We have meticulously planned the transportation schedule to ensure smooth and timely transfers for participants.
This service is only available to participants with an accommodation package.

LOC will provide transportation to sport venues from official accommodation hotels for those who have selected the accommodation package. Competitors will have priority for transport to and from the sports venues to ensure they arrive on time for their events. Exact departure times for the buses will be provided on the website to ensure maximum flexibility. However, please note that delays due to traffic may occur.

The daily transportation schedule, detailing the pick-up and drop-off times, is available on our website. Please refer to the website regularly to stay updated with any changes or adjustments.

Transfer Details:

Our transfer system has been designed to be as effective as possible, taking into consideration several crucial factors:

  • the number of participants per accommodation
  • the specific sports each participant is involved in
  • the start and end times of each sport
  • the locations of all sports venues.

Important Note:

Please be punctual for your scheduled pick-up times to ensure the smooth operation of the transportation system for all participants. However, please be aware that delays can occur due to traffic conditions and the complexities involved in managing a large event. We appreciate your patience and understanding in such instances.

Airport Transportation:

Airport transportation to accommodation hotels is provided by LOC to those with full package with accommodation or to those with a day package with accommodation arriving on the days that airport transportation is provided.

Arrival airport transportation

  • Saturday 20th July (20.7.2024)
  • Sunday 21st July (21.7.2024)

Departure airport transportation

  • Sunday 28th July (28.7.2024)

LOC can only provide transportation to those who have given their arrival and departure information in advance.

These transfers have been organized based on the flight information provided by participants. If there is a delay or a change in your flight time, we cannot guarantee a fixed seat but will do our best to provide a transfer as soon as possible.

The transfer will group people together and transport them to the central parking/meeting point in front of the VIP Executive Zurique.

The Registration Desk is located at the Holiday Inn Lisbon Continental, which is within walking distance.

Participants will pick up their badges and bibs between 10:00 and 20:00 on Saturday and between 08:00 and 20:00 on Sunday.

Afterwards, they can walk to their nearby hotels (VIP Inn Berna, VIP Executive Zurique, and 3K Barcelona).

Additional accommodations will be serviced by another shuttle (departure: VIP Zurique parking lot) that will go to the University, Amazonia Jamor, and Holiday Inn Express.

If you are arriving outside of the given airport transportation days, then you are advised to use the public transportation or taxis at your own expense. The Metro system takes passengers from Airport to Lisbon City Center and the Metro station is located near the hotel where ETSC office is located.
